Sibu Beauty Skincare Review

Sea Buckthorn Purifying Mask $29.95 2 oz
The purpose of this mask is to

Purify & refresh skin
Slough off dead skin cells
Reveal a fresh, youthful radiance

The first time I used this mask I actually did it with a friend with different skin type to see if we had the same results.

I have dry/sensitive skin & she has normal skin. The thing we both noticed & agreed on right away was how smooth our skin felt! We seemed to have the same results overall.

Mostly what I noticed with this mask was softness & smoothness so this is the type of product I'd use once a week or when my skin is feeling overly rough.

Sea Buckthorn Nourishing Facial Cream $20.95
I was really impressed with this moisturizer!

It has a thin texture, but isn't greasy, absorbs into the skin quickly, and regardless of the thin texture it's still very moisturizing.

I actually gave it a try on my hands too. I've been having issues with the top of my hands being really dry & after applying this to them they look so much better and smoother!

Even with a heavy shea butter cream I didn't get as good of results as I have with this.

Both of these products are vegan!

Earth Science Chamomile & Green Tea Makeup Remover Review

Chamomile & Green Tea Makeup Remover 4 oz $7.50
If you have very sensitive eyes (like me) you've probably found it difficult to find a makeup remover that doesn't make your eyes sore & burn.

This makeup remover is so gentle I was seriously surprised when I used it for the first time and my eyes DIDN'T burn!

Probably 90% of makeup removers make my eyes burn and about 75% of mascaras make my eyes itch, and feel uncomfortable so when I can find a product that doesn't cause my eyes irritation it's shocking.

This makeup remover has a gel consistency, and removes my eye makeup well (including waterproof mascara.) One thing I would suggest is using a paper towel or wash cloth.. something besides cotton balls because since it is gel the cotton fibers will be more prone to stick.

This makeup remover is unscented & vegan which means it really is perfect for sensitive skin and eyes.

Furless Makeup Brushes Review

Perfectly Pink Angled Contour BrushPPF2 $8.71 (USD)
As the name implies this brush is great for contouring! It's also good for applying blush, bronzer, and highlighter.

It's very soft, and not overly dense so you won't find yourself applying too much product.

Purple Fluffy Eyeshadow BrushPE2 $7.84 (USD)
Perfect for applying eyeshadow, and even softening the edges/blending of eyeshadow.

Again, very soft & feels great when you're applying eyeshadow-- it doesn't poke your eyelid like a lot of natural hair brushes will.

Black Beauty Angled Eyeshadow Kabuki BrushBME1 $7.84 (USD)
The brush is definitely multipurpose! It can be used for blending out eyeshadow, applying crease color, creating that outer V shape with your eyeshadow, and also for applying under eyebrow highlight shade.

Very soft & more dense than the other two brushes.

As you could probably tell by the name of the brand (Furless) all of these brushes are made with synthetic bristles rather than animal hair so they're much softer & vegan.

I've had no issues whatsoever with these brushes shedding. Not a single hair has shed from any of the three!

Furless is an Australian based company, but you can easily order from their website & have it shipped to the US (or wherever you are.)

Shipping costs the same for 1 or 10 brushes so if you're ordering from the US I suggest stocking up, that way you save on shipping in the long run.

My Konjac Sponge Review

Water Drop Volcanic Scoria Facial Sponge $10.00
The Konjac Water Drop Volcanic Scoria Facial Sponge is designed to...

Exfoliate
Moisturize
Massage
Minimize pores
Refresh the skin

It's also vegan, anti bacterial, natural, coloring & additive free, and biodegradable.

I've been struggling to find an exfoliator that really works for my skin so I wanted to give this a try!

One of the things about this sponge that surprised me was how well it's made. I squeezed it, picked at it, punched it (ok not really true..) BUT basically, I abused the sponge to test how well it would hold up & I was certainly impressed!

I have very dry, sensitive skin with occasional breakouts, and blackheads.

The sponge is very straightforward and easy to use simply wet it, scrub your face, wash it well, and then hang to dry between uses.

So how did this sponge work for me?

As far as exfoliating & moisturizing I can't say it did a lot for me. I still had some dry patches on my face after use, and my skin seemed a little tight rather than moisturized.

My skin does feel smoother after using this, and although the exfoliating/moisturizing aspect did not work for my skin it (without a doubt) minimized my pores! Better than anything else I've tried.

Even after my first use I noticed a difference in how my pores looked. It makes my pores & existing blackheads SO much less noticeable, almost like I'm wearing a translucent powder.

So if you're looking for something just to help minimize blackheads I'd suggest you give one of these sponges a try!

Root Science Skincare Review

2 Week Skin Detox Kit (customizable) $45.00
Normally the 2 Week Skin Detox Kit will include a mask of your choice, but these products I was provided by Root Science to try out.

I told them my skin type (sensitive/dry combo) & the products I received to suit my skin type

RS Beauty Bar
RS Facial Scrub
Bare Defense Moisturizer

I'll start by talking about the RS Beauty Bar which is my favorite of the products
This bar lathers well, and provides a nice, creamy lather without stripping the skin.

It leaves my skin clean, smooth, and removes my makeup well. It's easy to rinse off & gentle on the skin. My absolute favorite cleanser!

RS Facial Scrub
This scrub has a minty/citrus herbal scent, and very fine exfoliating granules mixed with larger chunks of almond.

It exfoliates well, but is a little too harsh for my skin. I have extremely sensitive skin so this is typical for my skin's reaction to exfoliators.

I think this would work very well for those with normal or oily skin!

Bare Defense Moisturizer
This moisturizer is great! It's an oil rather than a cream.

It absorbs into skin quickly, and keeps my very dry skin well hydrated, but not overly so.

I usually use two pumps of this after cleansing which is the perfect amount. It also hasn't had any negative effects on my skin like some moisturizers do.

Overall this system has done wonders for my skin & kept my skin glowing & clear! I was amazed by how well it kept my breakouts at bay.

All of these products are vegan!

Beauty Without Cruelty Review/Swatches

Attitude Nail Color in Mermaid $16.95
I absolutely love this nail polish! It's a pretty light blue/green shade.

It dries faster than any of my other polishes, and becomes opaque after two coats. It lasts really well on the nails, even without a topcoat you could get up to a weeks wear. Most polishes chip on me within 2-3 days so I'm really pleased with how well this one wears!

I definitely want to get more BWC polishes after trying this one.

Mineral Duo Pressed Eyeshadow in
Ultramarine $32.95
Above is two layers of the lighter shade, and three of the blue

I really love the colors in this duo, but I wish they were more pigmented, it takes a couple of layers to get a richer pigmentation.

I wasn't really a fan of the formulation of these eyeshadows, I found them a bit chalky, and sheer.

Regardless of the eyeshadows, the compact is adorable & I'll definitely get a lot of use of the mirror inside just because the packaging is so pretty!

Ultimate Natural Mascara in Black $24.95
Below one coat of this mascara on my lashes
This mascara gives my lashes more curl than any other mascara I have tried. It looks very natural on, and doesn't make my lashes feel stiff or crunchy.

I have extremely sensitive eyes to the point most mascaras just don't work for me, but this one didn't irritate my eyes at all.

It's very easy to remove, and comes off just with me washing my face.

It has a wetter which I prefer in mascaras so if you're a dry mascara kind of girl this may not be for you.

I'd definitely use this as my go to mascara on natural makeup days, and days I know I won't have a lot going on because it's not a super long lasting mascara, and will smudge a little if you rub your eyes.

All of these products are vegan!

EOTD - Superstition

Products Used
Modern Minerals Superstition Eyeshadow (Vegan)
Too Faced LashGasm Mascara

This is my go to look which takes under 5 minutes & still has vintage flair because of the winged eyeliner, but different than your typical black liner. Blue really brings out brown eyes!

Because I have round eyes, I only like to take my liner in 1/2 way, I find it better elongates my eyes. Often times if I line my entire lid it ends up making my eyes look more round.

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Creme Concealer Review

Creme Concealer in Warm Light $14.00
From the Lauren Brooke website

"We've added our New Phytolipid Complex, plus Carrot Seed Oil & Eyebright Extract for their wonderful skin healing & anti-inflammatory properties to help strengthen & support blemish-prone & problematic skin. To finish, we have infused Certified Organic Green Tea & Pomegranate Extracts into our concealer, giving you the incredible anti-oxidant benefits to also fight off free-radicals while wearing it throughout the day."

I can't speak to these added benefits because I haven't been using this concealer long enough to see any noticeable results, and also because when I get blemishes I don't cover them with concealer.

One thing I like about this concealer is although it looks like a mousse concealer it is actually quite dry so you don't end up with a ton of product on your finger or brush & also much less oily than mousse concealers.

This gives a very natural look to the skin as long as your skin is hydrated because this concealer does have a drier texture.

Here's a picture of my under eye area without concealer
& here's with concealer
This is the kind of concealer you could wear and seriously look like you had no makeup on.

As far as wear goes this concealer didn't last me all day, and did crease after a few hours.

I really like how this concealer looks on, but since I need longer wear I think this would be a good product for someone younger, getting into makeup because it's more natural than most concealers as far as ingredients go & also how it looks applied.

I got this concealer from

The owner of the website got in touch with me and asked what I would like to try from her site to feature on my blog. As the name implies it is a great place to purchase natural makeup online!
